D. degree in control systems from “Dunărea de Jos” University of Galati, Romania, in 1993. Between 1981 and 1983, he has been with Computers Factory in Bucharest as engineer in computer integration and testing. Since 1983 till now, he has been with the “Dunărea de Jos” University of Galati and currently is professor and Ph. D. supervisor in control systems with the Department of Automation and Electrical Engineering, having 7 finished theses, one of them in international co-supervision, in which the authors received the Ph. D. title. His research interest includes numerical calculus, linear and non-linear control, adaptive control, robotics, and mechatronics. Between 2000 and 2004, he conducted three NATO research internships in labs from Polytechnics of Torino, Italy, the National Polytechnics Institute of Grenoble, France and Institute of Systems and Robotics, University of Coimbra, Portugal.
