Eugenia MINCA is a tenured professor in the Department of Automation, Informatics and Electrical Engineering at “Valahia” University of Targoviste (UVT). In the same time Eugenia MINCA is an associated professor at “Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati as PhD supervisor professor.

Prof. Eugenia MINCA has received her first Ph.D. title in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnics University of Bucharest (Romania) in September 2002, and her second Ph.D. title in Automatic and Informatics from the University of France Comte (France), in March 2005.

Between 2005 and 2013 she was the Head of the Automatics-Informatics and Electrical Engineering Department at UVT, and between 2016-2020 she was adjunct dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Information Technology from UVT. She is the author of 7 books and more than 100 articles and continues to be an active contributing member in research with prestigious results in research institutes and professional bodies. The focus of the research activity is focused on research directions in the field of Systems Engineering, respectively control of automatic systems, adaptive control, modelling of systems with discrete events, modelling and control of manufacturing systems. Between 2008 and 2020 three of her papers were highly commended, receiving awards from UEFISCDI (the Executive Agency for Higher Education, Research, Development, and Innovation Funding) in national competitions awarding research results. In October 2015 she got the Habilitation title that allowed her to become a tutor and guide students throughout the university’s Ph.D. curriculum.
